II1ITR “The Red Tent”

“Greetings! we are ready, for the 90th anniversary of the Red Tent the team “The Red Tent” will activate a special call II1ITR.
Team: I1TWL IK1RGK – IK1JJM – IK1XPE – IW1BRR – IW1GJA – IW1GIO — IZ1SCF – IZ1ETD – IU1FLZ -IW2NUY
 The Team “The Red Tent” II1ITR while maintaining its identity, but with the goal to greater importance to the memory of the 90th anniversary of the expedition of the Italian Airship to the North Pole and the fundamental role of the radio, on that occasion, decided to be part of the “Diploma 90° anniversary expedition Nobile” organized by ARMI (Association of Italian Amateur Sailors), so in the  month of activation our name, II1ITR will be also valid to obtain the diploma.
Each contact  with II1ITR will receive a credit for the diploma and our special QSl in memory of the Red Tent
We are waiting to hear from  you in frequency and we remind you the dates when we will be ON AIR:
FROM  MAY 25 2018 TO  JUNE 25 2018 in all bands and in all modes

Visalia IDXC 2018, News from the Intrepid-DX Group

IDXC 2018, Visalia, California. The Intrepid-DX Group is pleased to announce that Yuris Peterson-YL2GM and Kaspars Uztics-YL1ZF are the recipients of the 2018 Intrepid Spirit Award for their activations of Annobon Island and Equatorial Guinea as 3C0L and 3C1L. We will see them in Dayton next month and present their awards. Congratulations Yuris and Kaspars!   In addition, we are pleased to announce that Antonio Gonzalez-EA5RM is the recipient of the Intrepid Humanitarian Award for his many years of volunteering in the Bolivian Rain Forest to help establish and maintain communications between remote villages and hospitals and medical clinics.
